Act Happy

One of the most effective happiness-inducing techniques is simply to act like you are happy.  That's right--just pretend you're in a movie, playing the part of a happy person.  Within minutes of pretending, most people report that their bad mood begins to fall away.

According to NLP practitioners, body movements affect thinking patterns.  They discovered that if you move like you are happy (stop slouching, don't drop your head, and so on), you begin to think happy thoughts.  Motion creates e-motion!
